Apply Incoterms 2020 correctly.

The seminar provides a detailed overview of all the Incoterms clauses, systematically organized by type of transport: characteristics, function, structuring options, advantages and risks of the specific clauses. 

The seminar deals with the legally binding nature of the clauses and clarifies errors in the use of the clauses.

The seminar teaches participants how to use the Incoterms regulations in a targeted and safe manner to draft terms of delivery and payment. It teaches the ability to determine and use the relevant clauses and explains the consequences of using incorrect clauses.

Target audience: All employees in the company who are responsible for the correct selection of Incoterms clauses in foreign trade transactions - from the conclusion of the purchase contract to the delivery of the goods and invoicing, i.e. in particular

Employees in purchasing and sales, processing, accounting, logistics and IT.

Seminar                             Collection and
letters of credit 

The seminar covers the basics of payment protection using documentary payment terms in foreign trade.

The seminar teaches the basics of payment protection and the letter of credit business. The characteristics and use of sight letters of credit, letters of credit on demand and letters of credit with bills of exchange are discussed. The seminar also covers risk analysis, the determination of suitable INCOTERMS, D/P transactions and the confirmation of a letter of credit.

The seminar has the character of a workshop. Participants will have the opportunity to bring along letters of credit from their practical experience, the specific processing phases of which - from application to processing - will be discussed together.

Target audience: This seminar is aimed in particular at company employees who have to deal with documentary payment terms for the first time.

Letters of credit - Support

Documentary payment guarantees are of decisive importance in the processing of your foreign trade transaction, namely 

  • when concluding the purchase contract,

  • when the letter of credit is received,

  • when the goods are loaded and

  • when the documents are drawn up.

I am Frank Heymann.

I have been a lecturer for more than three decades, where I enjoy passing on my knowledge as a trained foreign trade merchant and business graduate. 

I combine my many years of teaching experience not only with sound specialist knowledge, but also with practical know-how from my time as an employed and self-employed foreign trader. I am an ICC-certified Incoterm trainer.
